SUBJECT: Proposal for report on Google Nexus One

For a long time Apples Iphone has been dominating the world of smartphones since its release. However, since then, companies such as Google have tried to create a competitor. One that exceeds the standards of Iphones touch screen multi application hardware. But when you have a phone that is rapidly growing since its release date, what makes the Google Nexus One differ in a way that its consumers will be more satisfied. I purpose to write a report on how the Google Nexus One attempts to compete with the Apple’s Iphone Gen-Ys consumers.

Need
Consumers are looking for an affordable phone that has a large application capacity, fast service, and a new appeal.
• In comparison with the Iphone, the Nexus has fewer application features.
• It’s priced high in a low market for a new release.
• Solely web based mobile support.
• Unorganized Google systems

Since the release of the Google Nexus One, its price margin has not compared to the Iphone. However, with its updated Adroid 2.1 software, web based store, and unsubsidized model, the Nexus One still creates a threat to Apple. If Google focuses on some of its defaults, the Nexus One could be upcoming competitor in the eyes of Gen-Y. Proximity clients who plan to extend their contract with Apple’s Iphone, must rely on this proposal in order for them to understand Gen-Y needs and how Google Nexus One seems to be meeting them.

The most important thing you need to do for the report itself is to tighten and focus your needs statement. Our clients want to be able to target Gen-Y using mobile ads and applications. Apple runs a closed system for the iPhone apps and is developing their own iAd capability. That means right now that clients must work with Apple to use the iPhone for mobile ads and apps. Google Android and Nexus One promise a more open source, web centric model which will allow for integration of web ads and mobile ads. The question then is whether Nexus One will capture some significant market share. As you note the first release has problems. So the point of the report for a client is to learn whether/when these problems will be resolved and what Nexus One offers for ads and apps that iPhone doesn't

The proposed report, "Google Nexus One: An Upcoming Competitor for Iphone Consumers" will cover the following topics:
• What both the Iphone and Nexus One have to offer.

  • The influence of applications, internet, and organization.
  • The behaviors of Gen-Y
  • The future of intermixing, syrg and mobile in Nexus One

In addition to the topics, the proposal will include attachments with regards to the Nexus One’s growth and mobile expansion.
